Classes are kept very small and in the apprentice tradition, are also available on request by coordinating students wanting to take them in a particular month.  The classes listed above are to be held in Charlottesville, VA but plans are afoot for Reston VA, Los Angeles, CA, and Denver, CO.

Beginning Level 1; 25 Contact Hours NCBTMB
Level 1 focuses on the arm, hand, fingers & thumb, and shoulder. Six patterns of spasticity are given, plus the introduction to the Skewed Torso Pattern. Science covers 1) skeletal muscle structure 2) round & flat muscles 3) vicious cycle of malfunction 4) role of endorphins, 5) other problems due to hypertonic muscle 6) ligaments & tendons, and 7) circulation and blood shunts.

Intermediate Level 2; 25 Contact Hours NCBTMB
Requirement:  Must have completed Level 1. Level 2 focuses on the thigh, knee, leg, foot, buttock and hip. Eight patterns of spasticity are given. Science covers 1) skeletal muscle contraction and 2) the muscle spindle sensory receptor, including the dynamic and static stretch reflex, and muscle tone.

Advanced Level 3; 25 Contact Hours NCBTMB
Requirement:  Must have completed Level 2. Level 3 focuses on the upper & lower back, the chest & abdomen. Six patterns of spasticity are given. Science covers 1) slow & fast-twitch muscles fibers and 2) carbohydrate metabolism.

Master Level 4; 25 Contact Hours NCBTMB
Requirement:  Must have completed Level 3. Level 4 focuses on the face & neck, and suboccipital muscles. Science covers 1) articles written by Thomas Griner, 2) complications of suboccipital spasm, and 3) pathologies. Also covered are ethics and New Client Intake protocols. Final exams are given on Morning 3 of Level 4 to those students wishing to graduate; alternatively, final exams can be taken at a later date if desired.
